You help set the tone for their entire experience with us. Your professionalism, care, and attention to detail ensure that every visit reflects the dignity and compassion our company has upheld since 1857.
This is a part-time position, scheduled 3-4 weekends per month, Saturday 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. and Sunday 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Additional evening or weekend opportunities may arise occasionally for visitations and services, though not on a set schedule.
As a Receptionist, you will:
Answer and process phone calls promptly and professionally
Greet visitors with warmth and compassion
Provide administrative support, including maintaining the chapel calendar, managing schedules, performing data entry, updating records, and processing payments
Assist with preparing for services and visitations--setting up flowers, memorial books, and other service items--and ensuring the facility is tidy, organized, and welcoming
Support rotating Funeral Directors and on-site staff
This role requires exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, a professional and empathetic demeanor, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively. You must be comfortable with technology, including managing email and operating standard office equipment. Much of your shift will involve working with our database, so attention to detail and accuracy are essential. Confidentiality and respect for the privacy of the families we serve are paramount.
