Functional Medicine Health Coach

who is passionate about guiding people through their healing journeys and building a vibrant, health-centered community.

About the Role

As a Functional Medicine Health Coach, you will be the bridge between our providers and our practice members. You will guide clients through personalized health plans, provide education on nutrition and lifestyle, and help them navigate complex healing protocols. This role blends clinical knowledge, motivational interviewing, and community leadership. You'll also lead workshops and represent our mission through events and outreach.

What Success Looks Like

Clinical Navigation

Connecting the Dots:

Support practice members in understanding the connection between their health challenges, lab findings, and functional medicine interventions.

Supplement Knowledge:

Share your working knowledge of supplements to educate practice members and make adjustments based on personalized protocols.

Nutrition Expertise:

Guide clients through gut-healing nutritional transitions and provide case-specific guidance, such as support for histamine intolerance.

Detox Guidance:

Understand Herxheimer reactions and management strategies to walk with practice members through challenging situations.

Coaching & Support

Accountability with Compassion:

Hold practice members accountable with encouragement and empathy, helping them stay on track without judgment.

Inquisitive & Insightful:

Ask thoughtful questions to uncover core issues and empower practice members to tap into their strengths.

Data-Driven:

Track progress, measure results, and report outcomes to ensure practice members see tangible improvements in their health journey.

Holistic Knowledge:

Draw on a broad understanding of health and wellness to guide practice members through the complexities of functional medicine.

Exceptional Communication:

Bring strong listening and communication skills to both in-person and digital interactions, creating trust and clarity.

Education & Engagement

Workshop Leadership:

Lead engaging virtual and in-person workshops on a variety of wellness topics.

Client Advocacy:

Collect testimonials and encourage positive reviews to highlight the impact of your coaching and the practice's success.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a health-related or behavioral science field preferred. Certified Health Coach (FMCA, IIN, NBHWC, or equivalent). 3+ years of experience in functional or integrative health settings. Skilled in interpreting functional lab data (stool studies, toxin tests, blood labs). Excellent communicator with the ability to simplify complex health concepts. Organized, proactive, and tech-savvy (Google Workspace, electronic health records, telehealth platforms). Experience with Zoom classes and event facilitation is a plus.
