Role: Swim Instructor

Summary: Instructs students on water safety and proper swim techniques based on thorough knowledge of the Goldfish Swim School curriculum.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Teach swimmers water safety and technique in accordance to the Goldfish Swim School curriculum
• Provide positive reinforcement to swimmers
• Advances through cross-training in multiple roles and substitutes when necessary
• Evaluates students\xe2\x80\x99 progress each week
• Enforces safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents; rescues and administers first aid when necessary
• Acts as a GSS \xe2\x80\x9cambassador\xe2\x80\x9d to provide a Golden Experience to our students, families, and team members

Job Qualifications and Skills

• Ability to work with children
• High energy and strong work ethic
• Problem solver and creative thinking skills to identify and resolve challenges that students encounter
• Prior related leadership and teaching experience is preferred (supervisory roles)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Must pass background examinations prior to training
