We're looking for a motivated Full-Time Team Lead to guide our store team during peak business hours. This is a leadership position at Top Ten Liquors; you'll be the go-to during busy times when an assistant manager or store manager isn't present. You'll be in charge of ensuring strong sales performance, smooth operations, and an exceptional customer experience. Key Responsibilities
Lead the Team
: Set the tone during peak shifts, lead by example, and coach team members to maintain energy, focus, and efficiency during high-traffic periods.
Drive Sales
: Actively engage with customers to understand their needs, promote featured and high-margin products, and coach your team to consistently meet and exceed sales goals.
Open and Close the Store
: Perform opening and/or closing responsibilities as scheduled, including keyholder duties, cash handling, store security, and shift handoff communication.
Support Daily Operations
: Delegate and perform daily tasks such as stocking, merchandising, and cleaning while ensuring a safe and welcoming shopping environment.
Customer Experience Leadership
: Be a visible and responsive leader on the floor, resolving customer concerns promptly and promoting a service-first culture.
Uphold Standards
: Enforce store policies, ensure ID checks are done properly, and maintain compliance with all alcohol laws and company procedures.
Communicate Effectively
: Serve as the communication bridge between associates and store leadership; report operational issues or employee feedback as needed.
Qualifications
Previous retail experience required; leadership or keyholder experience strongly preferred
21+ years of age
Demonstrated ability to drive sales and coach others to perform at their best
Comfortable with POS systems, cash handling, and opening/closing tasks
Strong communicator, problem-solver, and motivator
Must be available to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Eagerness to grow into higher leadership roles within the company
Full-Time Team Lead Availability:
Must have open availability including flexible hours across weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
Time off requests should be submitted at least two weeks in advance to allow for schedule adjustments.
Physical Requirements
To perform the essential functions of this job, an individual must be able to meet the following physical demands with or without reasonable accommodation:
Frequently standing and walking, sometimes for extended periods
Regularly lifting and/or moving up to 30 pounds
Occasionally lifting/moving up to 50 pounds
Reaching overhead and below the waist
Bending, kneeling, or crouching as needed
Using hands and fingers to handle merchandise, operate point-of-sale systems, and complete cleaning tasks
Working Conditions
Fast-paced retail environment, especially during weekends and holidays
Frequent standing, walking, and interacting with customers during peak hours
Occasional exposure to cold temperatures while stocking coolers
Noise levels consistent with retail store settings
May involve working alone during certain shifts (e.g., early opens or late closes)
