Job Description

Teddy Bear Corner is a private childcare center that has been in operation for over 25 years, creating a cozy, home-like environment that combines planned educational activities and spontaneous play for children of all ages. We are looking for experienced, responsible, dedicated, resourceful, and dependable assistant teachers and teachers with a professional approach to work full time at our Infant/Toddler program, located on 414 Greenfield Street in Fairfield, CT. These positions will be in either one of our Infant or Toddler classrooms.

Job responsibilities include: tending to the children based upon the children's individual schedules, creating lesson plans and implementing activities, doing classroom cleanups, and interacting with the children's parents. Our ideal candidate must be patient, warm and welcoming, and most importantly, love working with young children. There is documentation involved throughout the day so any candidates must be fluent in English and be able to write and speak in English clearly. We do prefer candidates with prior childcare experience, especially if you have previously worked in an Infant or Toddler classroom or have cared for young children, however, we are willing to train the right candidate.

Our ideal candidate must have flexibility to work a set, FULL-TIME schedule (approximately 38 hours a week) every week.

The hours will consist of three long days from 7:30/8:00/8:30 AM until 5:30 PM, and two short days from 6:54/7:00 AM until 2:00/2:30 PM. Please note that we are a

full year program

and

this is a full-time position

with a set schedule with hours ranging from 7:00 AM until 5:30 PM.
