Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping experience in maintaining the books for more than one company.
Monitor the companys' checking accounts and cash flows for consistency.
Reconcile the companys' monthly bank and credit card statements.
Assist management by providing periodic financial data reports.
Reclassify any uncategorized expense transactions posted in Quickbooks.
Review Quickbooks account balances on a daily basis for the companies.
Perform daily accounting transactions in Quickbooks and to correct any errors and make adjustments to account balances where necessary.
Ability to import/export data from Quickbooks.
Ensure compliance with the Federal, state/local reporting requirements.
Collaborate with other department heads, management, and owner to assist in the development of an overall strategic plan for the companies.
Recommend benchmarks (budgets) for measuring the financial results and operating performance for the companies.
Provide recommendations for process and procedure improvements.
Qualifications:
3+ years of 'hands-on' Quickbooks bookkeeping experience (Pro/Advanced).
Restoration or Construction experience is a plus but not required.
Insurance industry expererience is a plus but not required.
Current experience and proficiency using QuickBooks (Intuit), Google Sheets, and Microsoft Office Suite is required. Netsuite experience would also be a plus.
Experience with linked bank and credit card statments in Quickbooks.
Demonstrated experience with bank to book reconciliation process.
Strong quantitative, analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
Proven strong time management and organizational skills, process improvement, and maintaing independence is required.
