What You'll Do
Operate an automatic screen printing press (Day 1, no training wheels)
Set up jobs with tight registration
Mix inks + match Pantones consistently
Burn, coat, tape, and troubleshoot screens
Maintain production quality + speed
Perform daily and weekly press maintenance
Approve test prints and ensure correct curing
Work with production assistant(s) to keep jobs flowing
Keep the print area clean and organized
Track quantities + help hit daily production goals
Set up and prepare screen printing equipment, ensuring proper alignment and calibration for each job.
Mix inks accurately according to color specifications, maintaining consistency across print runs.
Operate manual and automatic screen printing presses efficiently, managing multiple orders simultaneously.
Inspect printed items for quality, color accuracy, and registration errors, making adjustments as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including cleaning screens, tools, and equipment after each use.
Collaborate with design teams to understand project requirements and ensure accurate reproduction of artwork.
Troubleshoot technical issues during production to minimize downtime and maximize output quality.
Keep detailed records of print jobs, ink formulations, and maintenance activities for quality control purposes.
Experience Required
1-3+ years running an automatic press
Solid understanding of off-contact, angles, squeegee pressure
Can diagnose typical issues (ghosting, fibrillation, undercuring, etc.)
Ability to maintain consistent print quality at production speed
Able to troubleshoot on the fly without meltdown mode
Bonus Points If You Have
Manual press experience
Knowledge of embroidery or DTF workflows
Ability to train assistants
A calm attitude when ink gets everywhere
