Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to deliver high-quality patient care across various settings, including inpatient facilities, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, home health environments, and acute care units. Responsibilities



Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing comprehensive care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Deliver hands-on therapeutic interventions such as trigger point therapy, manual therapy techniques, and modalities to promote healing and pain relief. Monitor and document patient progress accurately, adjusting treatment approaches under supervision to optimize outcomes. Educate patients and their families on physiotherapy exercises, mobility techniques, and discharge planning strategies to support ongoing recovery at home or in care facilities. Support patient care activities across multiple environments including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, home health visits, and acute care settings. Maintain a thorough understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and the principles of physiotherapy to ensure safe and effective treatment delivery. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning and ensure seamless transitions between care settings. Adhere strictly to safety protocols and documentation standards while providing compassionate care that respects each patient's dignity and individual needs. Stay current with best practices in orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and other specialized areas relevant to your caseload.

Experience



Prior experience working as a Physical Therapist Assistant in inpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics or home health environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in physiotherapy techniques including trigger point therapy and other manual therapies. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and the fundamentals of physiotherapy practice. Experience with care planning for diverse populations such as geriatrics and pediatrics is advantageous. Familiarity with outpatient orthopedic or sports medicine environments is a plus. Skilled nursing facility experience or work within acute care units will be considered valuable assets. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 43 per week
