Responsibilities
Greet guests promptly and warmly as they arrive, providing a positive first impression. Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently, using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to organize waitlists and table assignments. Assist guests with seating preferences and answer any initial questions about the menu or restaurant policies. Coordinate with the serving staff to ensure smooth flow of service and timely seating. Maintain a clean and organized host stand, ensuring all materials are stocked and presentable. Handle guest inquiries over the phone with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills. Support guest relations by addressing concerns politely and escalating issues when necessary to ensure guest satisfaction. Assist in managing wait times during busy periods, providing accurate wait estimates and updates to guests. Contribute to a welcoming environment that promotes hospitality, guest services, and memorable experiences for all visitors.
Experience
Previous experience as a Host/Host or in food service is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a positive attitude above all. Experience in restaurant operations, including familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, is advantageous. Strong communication skills are essential for engaging with guests, team members, and management effectively. Experience in hotel or guest services can be beneficial, especially in delivering exceptional hospitality experiences. Candidates should demonstrate excellent phone etiquette and guest relations skills to foster positive interactions at all times. A background in serving or hospitality roles will help you excel in managing guest expectations and providing outstanding customer service.
