Full Time Cook

The Lorelton is a 100 bed, nonprofit assisted living facility located in the historic Charles B. Lore School building and looking for an experienced cook with an upbeat personality to join our energetic team. We are looking for someone with cooking experience preferably in the health care industry that is hard working, organized, creative and passionate about food and customer service. Candidates must also be able to work a full time flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Applicants must also possess:

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, plating and presentation. Maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment. Be able to follow food safety requirements. Good communication skills. Excellent physical condition and stamina. High school diploma or equivalent; Diploma from a culinary school will be an advantage Puts Customer Service First: Ensures that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in an attentive and responsive atmosphere which recognizes the individuals' needs and rights Any related customer service/oriented experience will be considered. Requires full understanding and knowledge of food and beverage standards. Ability to comprehend and communicate in fluent English. Know basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing. Possess interpersonal skills and an outgoing personality. And a willingness to have some fun in a professional setting.'

Job Duties:

Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner Follow recipes and presentation specifications Operate standard kitchen equipment safety and efficiently Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation Restock items as needed throughout the shift Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
