We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Full Time Bath Aide to join our caregiving team. Responsibilities
Assist residents with bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, and dressing in a respectful and dignified manner
Monitor residents' physical condition and observe for any changes or concerns related to health or behavior
Follow care plans precisely, including assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as toileting and mobility support
Use proper techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident's to ensure safe transfers and prevent injury
Maintain a clean and sanitary environment by performing routine cleaning of bathing areas and resident spaces
Document all care activities accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations and facility policies
Support medication administration under supervision when required, ensuring proper documentation and safety protocols are followed
Engage in patient monitoring during baths to identify signs of distress or medical issues requiring attention
Collaborate with nursing staff, social workers, and other team members to ensure comprehensive resident care
Uphold safety standards by practicing first aid and CPR when necessary; respond promptly to emergencies or incidents
Experience
Candidates should have prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, home health care, or group homes. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, autism spectrum disorder, or other cognitive impairments is highly valued. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs monitoring, medication administration support, and HIPAA compliance is essential. Familiarity with care plans related to long-term care settings and hospice or memory care environments will enhance your effectiveness in this role. Candidates should demonstrate strong caregiving skills including heavy lifting capabilities for resident transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts. Prior training in first aid, CPR certification, and experience working within home & community care settings are preferred. A compassionate attitude combined with excellent communication skills will enable you to build trusting relationships with residents while maintaining professional standards of patient care.
