About 1WayMirror



1WayMirror is an early-stage

EdTech startup

building an interactive career exploration platform designed for

high school students

. Our platform combines

career simulations, videos, gamified learning, and case studies

to help students discover real-world professions and connect their classroom learning to future career paths.

We're nearing completion of our

minimum viable product (MVP)

and are now focused on

enhancing our architecture

, building out new features, and

implementing AI-driven tools

to make the experience more personalized and engaging. We are looking to start to get into High Schools for the 2026-27 academic year.

Our small team of four is expanding, and we're looking for passionate developers excited about being part of a meaningful project at the ground level.

The Role



We're looking for a

Full-Stack Developer

to help strengthen and expand our existing platform. The ideal candidate will take ownership of backend systems or frontend experience (or both), depending on their strengths.

What You'll Do



Collaborate with the founding team to refine and scale the 1WayMirror platform Enhance the

backend architecture

for reliability, scalability, and performance Contribute to

frontend development

, improving UI/UX and interactivity Help design and integrate

AI-driven features

to personalize user experience Build and connect

gamification and video-based learning

components Work with APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure Participate in brainstorming and planning sessions to drive feature development

What We're Looking For



Strong skills in

backend development

(Node.js, Django, or similar frameworks) Experience with

frontend technologies

(React, Vue, or similar frameworks) Knowledge of

databases

(SQL/NoSQL) and cloud systems (AWS, Firebase, or GCP) Understanding of

RESTful APIs

and integration of third-party services Interest in

AI/ML concepts

and their application in education Self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable in a startup environment Passion for

education, learning technology, and building meaningful products


Bonus Points



Experience developing SaaS or web platforms from the ground up Familiarity with

EdTech tools

, gamified learning, or simulation-based systems Prior experience in a startup or agile development environment
