We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations within our retail environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of retail management, and excellent communication abilities. This role involves managing staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, and supporting overall store performance to meet organizational goals. The Assistant anager will play a key role in fostering a positive team environment and maintaining high standards of service and operational efficiency.
Duties
Assist in supervising daily store operations, including sales, inventory control, and customer service.
Lead and motivate team members to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Oversee employee orientation, training, and development to ensure staff are knowledgeable about products and store policies.
Manage payroll, bookkeeping, and inventory management processes accurately.
Coordinate purchasing, pricing strategies, and merchandising efforts to optimize sales performance.
Handle shift management, cashiering duties, POS transactions, and cash handling procedures.
Conduct interviewing and recruiting activities to build a competent team aligned with company standards.
Monitor store inventory levels and control stock replenishment activities efficiently.
Implement marketing initiatives to promote store products and increase foot traffic.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Utilize organizational skills to maintain a clean, organized store environment conducive to retail excellence.
Skills
Proven management experience with a strong background in retail sales, supervision, or assistant management roles.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and phone etiquette skills.
Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for effective customer interaction.
Strong leadership qualities with experience in team management and training & development.
Proficiency in retail math, POS systems, cash handling, budgeting, and inventory control.
Ability to perform retail merchandising, stocking, pricing strategies, and marketing initiatives effectively.
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently across multiple responsibilities.
Experience in supervising staff through shift management while maintaining high levels of customer service excellence.
Knowledge of administrative tasks such as bookkeeping and payroll processing is preferred.
