Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Baker/Cashier to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a flair for creating delicious baked goods. As a Baker, you will be responsible for producing high-quality breads, pastries, and desserts while adhering to food safety standards. Your creativity and attention to detail will play a crucial role in delighting our customers with visually appealing and flavorful products.

Duties

Prepare and bake a variety of items including breads, cakes, pastries, and other desserts. Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair to enhance presentation. Ensure all baked goods meet quality standards for taste, texture, and appearance. Follow recipes accurately while also being open to experimenting with new flavors and techniques. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in accordance with food safety regulations. Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of low stock levels. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop seasonal menus or special event offerings. Package finished products for display or catering orders.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Baker or in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, particularly in baking and pastry arts. Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in the kitchen. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated. Creative mindset with an eye for detail, especially in cake decorating and presentation. Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings or weekends as needed. A passion for baking and commitment to producing high-quality products.
