Position Overview:

The Front-End Developer supports United Methodist Communications' digital presence by developing, maintaining, and enhancing web properties including ResourceUMC.org, UMC.org, and United Methodist News (UMNews.org). This role focuses on implementing modern front-end technologies within a headless CMS architecture to deliver engaging, accessible, and high-performing digital experiences that serve The United Methodist Church's global community.



Requirements:

Education: Associates degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education, certifications, bootcamp completion, and relevant work experience will be considered.



Proficiency in React and component-based development Strong skills in Tailwind CSS and responsive design principles Understanding of headless CMS architecture and API-driven content delivery Familiarity with Git version control and collaborative development workflows 1-2 years of front-end web development experience (internships, freelance, or bootcamp projects considered) Portfolio showcasing responsive, well-designed web projects.
