Sales & Customer Service Associate SUMMARY: Assist customers, using technical knowledge and problem-solving skills, through the ordering process in order to maximize sales to new and existing customers and accounts. Provide customers with advice and guidance to help them understand all of the products that are available. Convert inquiries into sales, and process subsequent orders. Work with the production department and external vendors to ensure that the product sold will meet customers\xe2\x80\x99 needs. Perform any necessary corresponding clerical or administrative duties. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Advise and assist customers to help them choose the right product for their needs. 2. Qualify, generate, and maximize sign sales to new and existing customers. 3. Courteously greet customers and process all incoming orders by mail, telephone, email or personally from customers in a timely manner. 4. Contact current customers to sell and explain upgrade opportunities and to solicit new business within market area. 5. Route orders to production as appropriate with all necessary instructions and details. 6. Process all administrative paperwork pertaining to any in-house order. 7. Create Estimates, Sales Orders, and Invoices in Quickbooks, and compile a File Copy of fulfilled orders. 8. Receive, obtain and store pertinent client information and ensure validity, completeness, and accuracy of these records. 9. Answer phones in a professional manner and handle as appropriate based on the situation. 10. Inform customers of product information, unit prices, shipping dates, anticipated delays, company information and any additional information needed by customer. 11. Compute custom prices, discounts, and shipping charges as required. 12. Receive, and effectively and courteously respond to customer complaints. 13. Provide general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks such as photocopying, shipping, and filing. 14. Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to employee conduct, health and safety, quality management, proper use and care of equipment, and all other policies found in the employee handbook. EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Must have superior verbal and written communication skills and present an impeccable professional image both in person and over the phone 2. Ability to easily and effectively establish rapport, present information and respond to questions from customers and the general public 3. Must be highly computer literate and proficient in windows-based software including Word and Excel 4. Must possess a mastery of spelling, grammar, and basic math and algebra 5. Must be able to quickly and easily use and read a ruler and other basic measuring instruments 6. Ability to sell and explain additional products and add-ons 7. Ability to listen and understand client needs 8. Ability to process work with speed and accuracy 9. Must be organized and have the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines 10. Must take the initiative to help all customers and co-workers 11. Ability to resourcefully and effectively perform multiple tasks and easily pivot between activities 12. Ability to handle stressful situations and deadlines 13. Good working knowledge of QuickBooks is a plus 14. Ability to work with and adapt to co-workers PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to intermittently sit, stand, walk and stoop. The employee is required talk, hear, and use hands to finger and handle controls and office equipment. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move over 20 pounds, with assistance whenever needed.
