Position Overview:
As a front office assistant, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative operations of our clinic. You will play a vital role in ensuring efficient patient scheduling, maintaining accurate records, and providing excellent customer service to our patients and visitors.
Part-time hours are available 15-18 hours a week. Frequent afternoon schedule with occasional all day coverage.
Responsibilities:
Greet patients and visitors, answer phone calls, and respond to inquiries in a professional and friendly manner.
Schedule patient appointments and coordinate with therapists to ensure smooth patient flow.
Verify insurance coverage, obtain necessary authorizations, and process billing and payments accurately.
Maintain electronic medical records (EMR) and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and data entry.
Order office supplies, manage inventory, and ensure equipment is well-maintained.
Collaborate with therapists and other team members to address patient needs and resolve issues.
Provide administrative support to clinic management as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is desirable.
Ability to learn electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a team-oriented mindset.
