Main responsibilities:

Champion customer service programs to meet or exceed division goals. Supervise and schedule duties for Front-End Clerks, Courtesy Clerks, Customer Service Clerks, Head Clerks, Bookkeepers, and Front-End Management. Handle customer relations and resolve complaints effectively. Oversee daily cash flow, reconciliation, payroll reports, and safe transactions. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, safety, and appearance of the front-end area. Interview, hire, train, and supervise front-end staff; recommend employment status changes and disciplinary actions. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and dress/grooming standards. Serve as overflow cashier and support sales through suggestive selling techniques. Manage inventory and ordering of front-end supplies and merchandise. Achieve budget goals related to labor, cash variation, check expense, and supplies.

We are looking for candidates who possess the following:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Leadership and team-building capabilities. Ability to maintain composure under pressure. Positive attitude and customer-first mindset.

Competencies:

Supervisory and decision-making skills. Analytical thinking for planning and scheduling. Conflict resolution and disciplinary action handling. Compliance and policy enforcement.

Knowledge:

Front-End operations and procedures. Basic employment law and interviewing techniques. Product variety, perishability, safety, and sanitation standards. Basic mathematics and weights/measures. Operation of check stand equipment and PCs.

Abilities:

Lift and maneuver objects up to 55 lbs. Stand or walk for extended periods and move quickly. Operate and troubleshoot front-end equipment. Present a positive image to the public. Maintain mental alertness for safe and accurate work.
