Join our team as a Front Desk Receptionist/Ophthalmic Tech, where you will be the welcoming face of our practice! In this fast paced environment, you'll play a crucial part in the patient care from providing a friendly check-in and checkout experience for our patients and supporting the optometrists with basic patient pretesting. What you'll do
Greet and assist patients with a warm and friendly demeanor, ensuring a positive first impression.
Run the front desk including but not limited to answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, patient check-in, checkout/payments, document management, assisting with referrals.
Adhering to HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
Perform pretesting including auto-refraction, non-contact tonometry, and taking optomap retinal photos.
Assisting with contact lens insertion and removal training.
Perform light cleaning in office and exam room.
Immediate need is for every Saturday and one other weekday. Will also need to be open to pick up extra days to help cover other receptionists for vacations and sick days.
Basic qualifications
Strong communication skills with a focus on patient care and customer service.
Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team environment.
Knowledge of basic math principles to assist with sales transactions effectively
Preferred qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Previous experience in a medical office or clinic setting.
Skilled at multitasking in a customer focused environment.
Prior experience using EMR/EHR systems.
Job Types: Part-time, PRN
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
