Job Description

One of the nation's premier wedding and event venues is looking for a conscientious and polished Front Desk Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our valued clients, visiting guests, and inquiring callers. As our receptionist, you will be responsible for providing professional, warm, and courteous service to our guests. As you will often be the first impression for visitors of our estate, we consider this an important role in maintaining our well-established reputation and brand image.

JOB DUTIES:



Gracefully answer and appropriately direct incoming calls and inquiries. Greet & assist in-person visitors arriving at our chateau; this will often include newly engaged couples, high-level corporate professionals, and returning clientele visiting us to evaluate our fit for hosting their wedding celebrations and private events. Assist our sales office administrator and key management with a wide variety of clerical duties, as needed.

Excellent verbal communication skills, both in-person and with an on-phone demeanor. Fluency with written English. Warm & approachable, yet professional personality. A natural helper who is eager to assist wherever needed. High attention to detail and able to grasp instruction easily. Strong organizational skills. Patient and calm approach to guest service.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:



Education/Formal Training

High School diploma or equivalent is required. Formal clerical training, an associate's degree or other postsecondary education is preferred.

Experience

. Must have a minimum of one year of prior experience in a receptionist or administrative role. Prior experience working in a banquet event facility is a plus.

Knowledge/Skills

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) is required.

MUST BE ABLE TO WORK SATURDAYS

and have reliable transportation.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:



The Front Desk Receptionist/Administrative Assistant will report directly to the General Manager. Must be willing to welcome direction from the Sales Office Administrator, Sales Director, Resort Manager, Ownership, and other key management. Must be vocal and timely in alerting management to any potential issues with guest experiences, facilities safety, and/or technical issues to anticipate potential problems and aid in their solutions. Cultivates robust rapport and working relationship with fellow team members by engaging in proactive and consistent communication.

Must have vision ability in order to navigate both front and back of house and guide visitors efficiently through the extent of the property. Must have mobility to walk through the extent of the venue, service areas, and unpaved portions of property grounds. Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. and be able to carry office supplies and deliveries to their designated areas. Must be able to climb stairs on occasion, as needed.

BENEFITS:



Salary Range $18.00 - $20.00/hr. commensurate with experience @ 40 hours per week Eligibility for participation in the company's medical insurance plan. Eligibility to participate in the company's 401(k) program.
