Position Summary

The Weekend Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for residents, families, visitors, and staff. This role is responsible for creating a positive first impression while providing exceptional customer service and supporting basic administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities

- Greet and assist residents, visitors, and staff in a friendly and professional manner

- Answer and direct incoming phone calls promptly and accurately

- Monitor visitor sign-in procedures and ensure facility safety protocols are followed

- Provide general information to families and visitors

- Sort and distribute mail and messages

- Assist with basic clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and data entry

- Support the administrative and nursing staff with assigned tasks

- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk and lobby area

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Prior receptionist, office, or customer service experience preferred (healthcare experience a plus)

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment

- Basic computer skills (email, Microsoft Office, phone systems)

- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently

- Availability to work Saturdays, Sundays, and holiday rotation as needed
