We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our medical facility. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff, ensuring a smooth and efficient front office operation. You will handle a variety of administrative tasks, coordinate patient appointments, verify insurance information, and support medical staff with essential clerical duties. Responsibilities



Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive first impression. Answer multi-line phone systems promptly and professionally, directing calls efficiently and taking detailed messages when necessary. Schedule patient appointments using electronic health record (EHR) systems Epic, maintaining accurate calendar management. Verify insurance coverage and benefits, including Medicare and other major insurers, ensuring all documentation aligns with HIPAA regulations. Collect patient demographic information and update medical records accurately. Assist with insurance verification processes Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including filing, scanning, and maintaining organized medical records in compliance with health information management standards. Support clinical staff with intake procedures, appointment reminders, and care plan documentation to streamline clinic operations. Maintain a clean and organized front desk area while adhering to confidentiality standards related to HIPAA regulations. Assist with office management tasks including inventory control of office supplies and managing clerical duties related to medical office experience.

Experience


Candidates should bring prior experience in a medical or dental office setting with a strong foundation in front desk operations. Experience working with Epic is highly preferred. A background in medical billing or coding--including ICD-10/ICD-9/CPT coding--is advantageous. Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Candidates must demonstrate excellent phone etiquette, strong organizational skills, and familiarity with health information management practices. Previous clinic or hospital experience that emphasizes customer service excellence and administrative support will help ensure success in this role. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
