Job Description

We are seeking a warm, dependable, and service-orientedFront Desk Receptionist to bethe welcoming face of our practice. This role is ideal for someone who values kindness, clear communication, and helping people feel genuinely cared for from the moment they walk through the door. The right candidate will be consistent, careful, detail-oriented, thoughtful and confident in supporting patients with compassion. Beyond typical administrative tasks, this position plays an essential part in patient satisfaction, practice reputation, and service utilization. Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and comfort with light sales (such as explaining services, answering questions, and supporting follow-up care) are key. Bilingual skills are a plus, and medical/dental reception experience is helpful.

Duties



Welcome every patient warmly, ensuring a calm, supportive, and respectful first impression Communicate clearly and compassionately, whether greeting patients in person or handling multi-line phone calls Schedule appointments, manage provider calendars, and ensure patients understand upcoming visits or treatment plans Provide consistent patient follow-up, including appointment reminders and explanations of services when appropriate Support a patient-centered flow by coordinating check-in/out, updating records, and helping patients feel comfortable Assist with billing, payment collection, and basic bookkeeping with honesty, clarity, and patience Utilize various software programs to complete daily tasks accurately Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk area to support a positive patient environment Offer solutions to patient concerns and direct inquiries courteously and efficiently Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless daily operations and a culture of kindness and reliability Uphold consistency in communication, documentation, and follow-through to support trust and smooth care delivery

Experience



Prior administrative, receptionist, OR customer-service experience Experience in a medical or dental front desk role is helpful Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on empathy and active listening Comfort explaining services, answering questions, and supporting patient decision-making (light sales skills) Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and general computer literacy Familiarity with multi-line phone systems and office software such as QuickBooks is a plus Bilingual abilities are highly beneficial for serving a diverse patient community Excellent organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail Professional, dependable, and able to maintain consistency in fast-paced environments
