About SharkBay Playspace

SharkBay Playspace is a warm, fun, and welcoming indoor play space designed for young children and their caregivers. We pride ourselves on exceptional customer service, a clean and safe environment, and creating memorable experiences for families in our community.

Position Overview

We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented team member to serve as the front desk associate, help maintain playroom cleanliness, prepare coffee and cafe items, and assist with birthday parties and special events. This role is perfect for someone who loves working with children, enjoys multitasking, and takes pride in keeping spaces organized and inviting

Key Responsibilities

Front Desk & Guest Experience:

Greet families warmly and create a welcoming first impression.

Check in guests, memberships, and class attendees.

Answer questions about classes, memberships, parties, and events.

Handle basic transactions and membership signups.

Playspace Maintenance:

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the playroom throughout the day

Reset and tidy play areas as children rotate in and outSanitize toys and surfaces regularly

Ensure safety and cleanliness standards are always met

Coffee Bar & Cafe Support:

Prepare coffee and basic cafe items

Keep the coffee bar clean, stocked, and organized

Provide friendly service to caregivers enjoying the cafe space

Schedule & Availability

Minimum 2 days per week

1 Saturday per month required

Shift Options:

9:00-11:30 AM

9:00-2:30 PM

Fridays: 4:00-6:30PM

Party Hosting (Optional / Weekend Role)

Party hosting shifts are paid at $20/hour

Set up, host, and break down birthday parties and special events

Assist families during parties to ensure a smooth, fun experience

Clean and reset party areas post-event

*Weekend availability required for party hosting

Ideal Candidate

You are someone who:

Has strong attention to detail and enjoys cleaning and organizing

Can multitask in a fast-paced, family-focused environment

Has customer service experience (retail, hospitality, childcare, cafe, etc.)

Is warm, welcoming, and attentive with both children and adults

Loves being around children and familiesIs reliable, punctual, and a team player

Is comfortable being on your feet and active during shifts
