Position Overview



The

Front Desk Coordinator

is a responsible, self-starter that handles various administrative tasks in the front office area. This individual is vital to Team Texoma, as they will often times be the first point of communication and visibility with the patient. It's imperative that this role is able to communicate effectively with patients and maintain an organized administrative schedule.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities



Organize and manage all administrative functions in the front office (such as reception tasks, scheduling patients, receiving and distributing office mail and emails, managing the office phone and delegating calls and messages as needed, communicating patients' arrival, managing office records, seating patients, obtaining office charts, among other tasks) Manage appointment scheduling, confirming appointments in advance Documenting patient dental treatments and transaction Manage patient referrals and scheduling of office appointments Look at impression appointments and make post-op appointments Call to confirm appointments ahead of time Check patients out and take payments

Skills/Abilities:



Outstanding written and verbal communication skills Positive demeanor and overall attitude Skilled in the use of standard office equipment, including telephones, calculators, copiers, fax, computers, and computer software (MS Excel, Word, Practice Management software: Open Dental experience is a bonus) Ability to maintain composure and professionalism when exposed to stressful situations Ability to gain trust from the doctors, co-workers, and patients Ability to work cooperatively with management, staff, and patients Ability to prioritize, organize, and complete tasks in a timely and independent manner Ability to accept constructive criticism Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions Ability to collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and maintain confidentiality Ability to communicate and express thoughts and ideas competently Ability to quickly grasp relevant concepts regarding duties and responsibilities Has a positive attitude about the practice, the team, and the services the team provides Has dependable job attendance and can be relied on the follow through with assigned tasks

Preferred Qualifications



High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum of 1 year in the dental field

Customer service experience is a bonus

Multilingual preferred

MUST have dental experience!

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
