Captain Hirams Resort and Best Western Plus are searching for a committed, proactive Front Desk Attendant to work in an exciting, fast-paced environment. The Front Desk Attendant will provide services to guests including reservations, room assignment activities, handling requests/complaints, and providing information. You will also need to be familiar with and comply with Best Western/Capt. Hirams Resort's Mission and Service Standards to go above and beyond for every guest, every time. This position may require nights, weekends, holidays, and shift work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Greet all guests incoming and outgoing

Ensure the cash drawer and bank are correct at the beginning and end of shift

Answer and handle all incoming calls efficiently and accurately

Create and confirm reservations

Responsible for clear and effective communications between co-workers, management and other departments

Proficiency in job knowledge, with ability to answer guest inquiries

Check guests in/out with POS system

Correctly complete a bucket check every shift to ensure guest information is up to date and accurate

Collect payments and posting charges to guest's folio

Always follow security and safety standards

Stay familiar with rates, rate codes, and promotions

Responsible for following key control procedures

Attend all mandatory staff meetings and training sessions

Maintain a professional appearance that complies with the uniform code

Ensure the front desk, lobby and business center are well maintained and presentable throughout your shift

Any tasks deemed necessary by the Front Desk Manager/General Manager in the future

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit and other activities as requested. The employee must be able to lift/or move up to 50 pounds. Standing for long periods of time. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
