The Holman Riverfront Park Hotel, Salem's newest full service hotel, and proud member of the Tapestry Collection by Hilton, is seeking a self-motivated individual for the position of Front Desk Agent. We are looking for someone who is outgoing, friendly and enjoys working in a team atmosphere.
We are looking for someone who will ensure our guests receive the highest level of gracious hospitality. Our ideal candidate will be friendly, accurate, responsible, knowledgeable, honest, and willing to provide our guests with a memorable experience that will set, not only them, but the Holman apart from all others. Job duties include, but are not limited to;
Front Office Responsibilities
Ability to perform Front Desk Agent functions and tasks
Set the standard for professionalism and courtesy.
Follow all appropriate policies and procedures while striving to improve all standards of operation
Ability to effectively manage time/tasks
Ensure prompt and courteous service to all guests
Consistently meet or exceed productivity standards
Solve guest problems and handle complaints with professionalism and courtesy
Maintain good communication with all departments
Inventory audits to ensure correct availability of supplies and products
Cross train on Night Audit
Monitor key inventory, and general supplies
Attend all mandatory meetings
Develop and maintain a solid working relationship with all other departments, employees and guests
Complete all duties assigned by supervisor to include cross-training
Maintain a safe workspace and report all hazards immediately
Keep work area clean and organized
Requirements and Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Good communication skills, both written and verbal in English
Positive attitude
Meets attendance requirements with dependability and consistency.
Must be able to work weekdays, weekends and holidays (days and shifts vary)
Know standard cash handling procedures
Ability to multitask with superior organizational skills
Must be efficient in a fast pace, high pressure environment
Demonstrate leadership and motivational skills
OnQ/Hilton experience a plus
90% of shift is standing, bending/kneeling
Occasional carrying and lifting up to 25 lbs.
Must be able to grasp, see, crouch, lift, reach and perform repetitive motions
Proficient use of computer, calculator and telephone
Able to provide valid OLCC Service Permit and Food Handlers Certificate within 2 weeks of hire
