Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Front Counter Associate to join our team in providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing customer orders, operating POS systems, and ensuring a clean and welcoming atmosphere. This role offers an opportunity to develop culinary and retail skills while contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety standards, including basic food preparation and handling Process transactions efficiently through cash handling and cashiering duties, including upselling and suggestive selling techniques Maintain cleanliness of the front counter, dining area, and kitchen stations, adhering to sanitation and food safety protocols Assist with food prep, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff as needed in a quick service or fast food restaurant setting Manage inventory levels at the counter, restocking supplies as necessary Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring guest satisfaction

Requirements

Previous experience in food service, restaurant, cafe, or grocery store environments is preferred Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and quick calculations during transactions Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional demeanor Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision Prior experience in food preparation, serving, cashiering, or bussing is desirable but not required
