We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care, assisting with various dental procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Bonus pay offered for Saturday hours.
Responsibilities
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare and maintain instruments, equipment, and the treatment area following infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety standards.
Record patient medical history, vital signs, and maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Assist with scheduling appointments and managing the front desk as needed.
Stay updated on advancements in dental technology, including 3D scanning and medical imaging techniques.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a dental clinic setting is preferred.
Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and general dentistry procedures is essential.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate clearly with patients and team members.
