We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Freelance IT Support professional to provide exceptional technical assistance and support to our clients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in IT infrastructure, computer management, and customer service. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and resolving issues related to software, hardware, and network systems.
Duties
Provide technical support for various operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Troubleshoot software issues and perform desktop support for users.
Manage computer hardware and ensure optimal performance of IT infrastructure.
Assist with VPN setup and configuration, firewall management, and network administration.
Conduct analysis of system performance and implement improvements as needed.
Utilize tools such as BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, and Jira for ticketing and issue tracking.
Support Active Directory management, including user account creation and permissions.
Maintain computer networking components including TCP/IP configurations, DNS settings, and LAN connectivity.
Deliver excellent customer service by effectively communicating with users to understand their needs.
Document all support interactions clearly for future reference.
Qualifications
Proven experience in technical support or IT help desk roles.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Microsoft Windows Server environments.
Familiarity with SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) and GPO (Group Policy Objects).
Understanding of TCP protocols, Meraki devices, and mobile device management.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting complex IT issues.
Experience with network administration tasks including firewall configuration and VPN management is preferred.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
