Job Responsibilities
Processing quality cast iron parts used to create Hearth & Home Technologies' industry-leading fireplaces, stoves and hearth products.
Minimizing bad parts by proper cleaning, identification, inspection, and repair of cosmetic flaws.
Skills and Abilities
Read and perform basic math functions to determine mold specifications, production counts, work-in-process, and product specifications
Follow written and pictorial standard work instructions
Communicate clearly and effectively with others
Complete quality and safety checks
Advanced skills include
Operation of a variety of material handling equipment such as Bobcat, Forklift, Yard Truck, Sweeper
Operation of overhead cranes and hoists to move material such as molten metal, slag and refractory containers, furnace components and other equipment weighing from 2 to 10 tons
