Overview

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other heavy equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. This role is crucial in maintaining the flow of operations and ensuring that products are handled safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

Operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and pallet jacks, to move materials throughout the warehouse. Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking inventory and managing orders. Perform order picking tasks accurately to fulfill customer requests. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure safe operation. Handle heavy lifting of products, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency. Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

Proven experience in materials handling and heavy equipment operation, particularly with forklifts. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues as they arise. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks, adhering to safety guidelines. Experience using RF scanners for inventory management is a plus. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
