We are currently searching for a

Forklift Operator

within our Plywood Department. The primary role of this position is to ensure the timely and accurate movement of materials needed for packaging and shipping and/or receiving. You would be responsible for correctly packaging units, accurately and timely loading/unloading trucks, and ensuring all related documents are in order.

THIS SHIFT IS FROM 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm, Monday - Friday.

Occasional overtime and Saturday work may be required depending on the production and overall company business needs.

Duties

Operate forklifts in a safe and responsible manner that abides by all company procedures and OSHA standards
Maintain equipment through daily inspections and cleanliness
Load/unload production lines and machines; ensuring that the production lines always have raw materials staged, and finished products at the end of the line are removed safely and quickly so as not to slow down production
Transport and stack pallets
Inspect finished products for quality related issues
Properly label, wrap, palletize and transport finished products
Ensuring inventory is organized to minimize floor space requirements
Responsible for the removal of scrap material
Load/unload incoming trucks as needed
Verify that packing slips and deliveries match sales or purchase orders for accuracy and completeness.
Attendance is a necessary job function
Learn and perform other production related duties as needed
