Overview

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced distribution center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment to ensure the efficient movement of goods within the facility. This role is crucial in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting shipping and receiving operations.

Responsibilities

Operate forklifts, including cherry pickers and pallet jacks, to transport materials throughout the distribution center. Load and unload shipments with precision, ensuring that all items are handled safely and efficiently. Utilize RF scanners for tracking inventory and maintaining accurate records of stock levels. Assist in shipping and receiving tasks, verifying the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments. Perform routine inspections of forklift equipment to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols while handling materials. Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.

Skills

Proven experience operating forklifts, including cherry pickers, in a distribution or warehouse environment. Strong ability to perform heavy lifting and maneuver materials safely. Familiarity with pallet jacks and other material handling equipment. Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes within a distribution center setting. Proficient in using RF scanners for inventory management. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety practices per OSHA guidelines. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

The work schedule will be Monday thru Friday 4:00 AM till 12:00 PM.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 per hour
