Forklift Operator

Mars Hill, ME - FT/Nights - Temp-to-Hire Opportunity

:

Immediate need for a Forklift Operator in Mars Hill. Benefits available after temp-to-hire period; PTO, health, dental, and 401k plan. Previous experience helpful, but not required. Full-Time/Nights; 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM; $17.00/hr. - $19.00/hr.



The Forklift Operator will use loaders, forklifts, and pallet jacks to move materials around the job site. Other tasks will include manual labor, general cleaning, and maintenance work. All hires will be required to participate and pass forklift certification training and must demonstrate a good understanding of how to operate motorized equipment safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

Operate loaders, forklifts, and other equipment in a safe and productive manner. Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment. Inspect incoming materials and report any damaged or defective shipments. Complete routine paperwork correctly and submit documents to site supervisor on schedule. Manually load and unload materials as needed. Perform regular cleanup duties to ensure that the job site is well-organized. Complete other tasks as requested by site supervisor.

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent education. Previous forklift experience preferred; background in factory/warehouse environments required. Good verbal and written communication, as well as strong math skills required. Ability to pass required forklift certification training and demonstrate clear understanding of workplace safety policies.
