Responsibilities

Safely operate forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, cranes, and other heavy equipment to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse. Perform order picking using RF scanners and other warehouse management systems to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently. Load and unload shipments from trucks, ensuring proper placement and storage of goods in designated areas. Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure mechanical safety and report any maintenance needs promptly. Support warehouse distribution tasks by organizing inventory, managing materials handling, and maintaining a clean work environment. Follow OSHA safety guidelines at all times to promote a safe workplace for yourself and colleagues.

Skills

Proven experience operating forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment in a warehouse or construction setting. Strong knowledge of warehouse distribution processes including order picking, shipping & receiving, and materials handling. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and inventory control procedures. Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and basic troubleshooting. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during order picking or load & unload tasks. Prior warehouse supervisor experience is a plus for understanding team coordination and safety protocols. Knowledge of OSHA regulations ensures compliance with safety standards during all operations.
