Work begins promptly at

7am and ending at 3:30pm, Monday through Friday

. (Summer hours are from 6am-2:30pm to beat the heat!)

Summary

We are currently looking for a

Forklift Operator

to work throughout the plant alongside production workers, the receiving department, and with our vendors. Employees must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and must also possess a high degree of integrity and the ability to analyze a variety of problems while working independently. Time management and organizational skills are also essential. Training can be provided.

Duties and Responsibilities

Receiving

:

I. Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations.

II. Efficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate locations.

Quality

:

I. Ensure inbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.

II. Report quality variances to the Purchasing department.

Equipment

:

I. Load, unload, move, stack and stage product and materials using a forklift.

II. Use radio frequency equipment for receiving and putting away and delivery of materials as needed.

III. Maintain the facilities equipment and materials in a neat, clean and orderly fashion.

IV. On a daily basis, inspect and perform minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipment.

V. Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.

Inventory

:

I. Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained.

Safety, sanitation, security:

I. Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area.

II. Assist in maintaining the security of the facility.

III. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety. Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED Valid Driver's License Ability to work a flexible schedule, possibly staying after hours for clean-up purposes. Forklift or Shipping/Receiving experience is preferred but not necessary. Ability to stay within the Hyster for long periods of time along with walking, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling and climbing may be required regularly. Ability to lift 50 or more pounds consistently and 100 or more pounds on occasion.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
