Job Summary

The Forklift Operator is responsible for helping to maintain and keep the freezer clean; loading and unloading incoming and outbound loads. Track shipments via written and computerized documents. Also helps with organizing and maintaining existing inventory.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Load outbound customers Unload inbound customers Keep freezer clean and organized Complete BOL's and movement forms via computerized documents All other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent education required. One year of forklift experience required. Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

Organizational and communication skills. Ability to multitask with strong attention to detail Must be able to perform tasks that include reading, writing and mathematical calculations. Must be able to speak, read, and write English.

Physical Demands

Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, bend and kneel. Frequently must push, pull, move, carry or lift up to 50 lbs. Regularly required reach with hands and arms.

Work Environment

Job functions will be carried out in a rendering facility which requires tolerance for wet and/or slippery floors, moderate noise levels, exposure to protein by-products and high heat and/or cold temperatures.
