Job Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Forge Technician to join our team. As a Forge Technician you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing and fabrication of steel products, operating, and maintaining forging equipment to produce high-quality metal components. This role requires expertise in handling heated materials, operating presses, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Job Duties:

Operate forging presses and other equipment to shape metal components.

Monitor heater temperatures and heating cycles to ensure proper material properties.

Perform die changes, tooling setups, and adjustments to meet production requirements.

Inspect forged parts for quality, ensuring they meet company and customer specifications.

Use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to verify dimensions.

Follow safety protocols, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Maintain accurate production records and complete the required documentation.

Identify and troubleshoot process issues, working closely with maintenance and quality teams.

Assist with routine maintenance of forging equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

Train on saw, heater, booth operator, trim press, blaster, crane, forklift, and downstacker operations.

What you need to be successful:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Valid Driver's License

Ability to stand, bend and walk for extended periods throughout the day

Be able to lift or move at least 50lbs
