Job Title: Forensic Clinician


Department: Golden Legacy Care Center


Supervisor: Clinical Director and/or Program Director



Salary:


$44/Hr (pre-licensed psychologists or LCSW/LMFT) $58/Hr (licensed psychologist)

Essential Functions of Job:


1. Follow facility policy as it relates to patient care, intervention and documentation.


2. Possess sufficient verbal and written communication skills to perform task required.


Job Qualifications:


1. Graduation from a Ph.D. or Psy.D. program. Or LCSW or LMFT with requisite experience in mental health, preferably in forensic settings.


2. Experience with a mentally ill population, preferably in forensic settings.


3. Supervisory experience preferred.


4. Bilingual ability preferred (Spanish).


Job Responsibilities:


1. Conducting therapeutic groups for the residents.


2. Providing individual therapy for residents assigned to their caseload.


3. Assisting in the development of Patient Care Plans on admission, quarterly, and for any significant changes in status.


4. Documenting weekly therapy sessions in the residents chart.


5. Writing court reports and other legal correspondence. Occasionally, testifying in court as expert witness is needed.


6. Interfacing with mental health agencies in the coordination of care.


7. Assisting counselors, when needed, in dealing with patient needs.


8. Performing crisis intervention, as needed.


9. Participating in monthly/annual resident staffings.


10. Any other duties as assigned by a Clinical / Program Director.
