Job Description

We are a small family-owned excavating and utility company located in Frederick, MD with work in Frederick, Howard, Carroll, Anne Arundel, Montgomery, and Prince George's Counties. We are looking for a hardworking hands-on working foreman that can take charge and manage a job from beginning to end. If you are looking to sit in your truck all day, this is not the job for you.

Responsibilities

:

Oversee, instruct, and participate in utility installation/repair. (Water, Sewer, Storm) Operate machines as needed Perform any required testing for installed systems. Responsible for crew performance in meeting quality and safety standards Fill out electronic daily reports & tickets Communicate effectively and maintain positive relations with GC's, owners, inspectors & vendors. Identify/document changes and notify owner before proceeding. Take all steps necessary to complete the contract in accordance with the contract provisions. Responsible for daily planning of material, equipment, and labor needs. Manage daily tasks. Ability to shift from one job to the other on any given day.

Qualifications

:

At least 5 years of Water, Sewer & Storm Utility experience At least 3 years of Utility Foreman experience Valid Driver's License Required Extensive knowledge of the tools and equipment involved in utility work Ability to read, understand and interpret construction drawings and specs Ability to plan, organize, direct, and evaluate crew members' work Spanish speaking a plus
