Job Overview


We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Food Service Director to lead and oversee all aspects of our food service operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing food production, ensuring food safety standards, supervising staff, and maintaining high-quality dining experiences across various settings including restaurants, catering events, and hospitality venues. The Food Service Director will play a pivotal role in coordinating kitchen operations, managing dietary departments, and implementing innovative food service solutions to meet organizational goals.

Duties



Oversee daily food production and kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and quality standards are met. Manage menu planning, food preparation, and presentation to align with dietary guidelines and customer preferences. Supervise culinary staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain proper handling procedures across all food service activities. Coordinate catering services, banquet events, and special functions while managing logistics and staffing requirements. Implement and monitor quality control measures to uphold high standards of food quality and customer satisfaction. Manage inventory control, procurement of supplies, and vendor relationships to optimize costs and minimize waste. Lead efforts in hospitality management by fostering a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike. Develop operational policies and procedures to improve service delivery and operational efficiency. Collaborate with other departments such as dietary services or beverage management to ensure seamless service integration.

Skills



Proven experience in food production, cooking, food preparation, and kitchen management. Strong background in food service management with supervisory experience in restaurant or hospitality settings. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage shift operations effectively. Deep understanding of food safety standards, dietary requirements, and sanitation protocols. Experience in catering, banquet management, or large-scale event planning is highly desirable. Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction. Knowledge of culinary techniques including restaurant experience, barista or coffee expertise is a plus. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with the food industry trends, dietary department operations, and hospitality best practices. Pay: $38,555.57 - $44,475.52 per year
