We are seeking a
Food Service Assistant/Supervisor
to support our Dietary Manager in overseeing daily kitchen operations. This role ensures meals are prepared, portioned, and served according to dietary guidelines while maintaining a safe and clean food service environment.Responsibilities include:
Assisting in the supervision of dietary staff during meal prep and service Ensuring proper food handling, sanitation, and storage procedures are followed Helping with inventory, ordering supplies, and receiving deliveries Supporting meal planning and preparation according to residents' dietary needs Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen and dining area Training and guiding food service staff as needed
Requirements:
Previous experience in food service, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting Supervisory or leadership experience a plus Knowledge of dietary guidelines and food safety regulations Strong communication and teamwork skills ServSafe certification is preferred (or willing to obtain)
