Description of Work The Food Service Assistant position is assigned to the Nutritional Services Department. Work involves the skill of reading and interpreting information to make independent decisions regarding the accurate service of regular, consistency modified, and/or therapeutic diet modifications while meeting the prescribed service schedule. Employee may act as lead worker and assist in the training of other food service personnel. This employee may be involved in food production tasks. Work is reviewed by a Food Service Supervisor for skill in applying food handling standards and sanitation techniques. Work schedule is 6:00 am to 3:00 pm; 10:15 am to 7:15 pm with rotating weekends/holidays.

Recruitment Range: $31,200 - $46,991
