Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their orders promptly and accurately, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. This position requires strong communication skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff.

Duties

Deliver food from the kitchen to guests in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met. Assist servers by providing support during service, including refilling drinks and clearing tables. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables after guests depart. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during peak hours, communicating any special requests or dietary restrictions from guests. Adhere to food safety guidelines and proper handling procedures at all times. Assist in food preparation when necessary, demonstrating knowledge of culinary techniques and food presentation. Utilize POS systems such as Aloha or Micros for order management as needed.

Requirements

Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred. Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations is essential. Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with guests and team members. Excellent communication skills to effectively relay information between the kitchen and dining area. Experience with banquet service or catering is a plus. Familiarity with cooking techniques and kitchen operations is advantageous. A background in hospitality or guest services will be beneficial for this role.
