Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Runner to join our dynamic restaurant team. The Food Runner plays a vital role in ensuring our guests receive their orders promptly and accurately, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment, supporting the kitchen and serving staff while engaging with guests to promote guest satisfaction.

Duties

Deliver food from the kitchen to tables efficiently and accurately, ensuring proper presentation and temperature. Assist with food preparation and plating as needed, maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. Clear tables promptly after guests finish their meals, resetting for new guests. Support servers by bussing tables and refilling beverages when necessary. Operate POS systems such as Toast POS for order accuracy and billing support. Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, including organizing service stations and assisting with sanitation protocols. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and management to coordinate timely service delivery. Uphold food handling standards and safety regulations at all times, ensuring guest health and safety.

Skills

Proven experience in food service, restaurant operations, or hospitality environments. Knowledge of food handling procedures, food safety standards, and sanitation practices. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is preferred. Previous experience with banquet service, catering, or hotel guest services is a plus. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and guests. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly demeanor. Basic culinary knowledge or kitchen experience is advantageous for supporting food prep tasks. Experience with food presentation, serving techniques, and bussing is desirable.
