We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Runner to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of food from the kitchen to our guests. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality, food service, and providing outstanding customer service. Prior experience in food handling, restaurant operations, or hospitality is preferred but not required. A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a commitment to food safety are essential for success in this role.
Duties
Deliver hot and cold food orders promptly from the kitchen to guest tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met.
Assist servers by bussing tables and clearing dishes to maintain a clean dining environment.
Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation or plating as needed.
Manage the flow of dishes using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to ensure proper order tracking.
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and guests to coordinate timely service.
Uphold food safety standards by handling food properly and maintaining cleanliness in all work areas.
Assist with setup and breakdown of dining areas for service, banquets, or special events.
Provide guest services by answering questions about menu items and accommodating special requests when possible.
Qualifications
Previous experience in food service, restaurant operations, or hospitality is highly desirable.
Knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and proper sanitation practices.
Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
Experience with banquet service, bussing, or kitchen support roles is advantageous.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Ability to stand for extended periods and carry trays or dishes safely.
Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and professional appearance.
