Shakedown Street features smoked meats and comfort foods located in the Stowe Cider building off Mountain Road in Stowe. Under the direction of a highly qualified and fun, easy-going chef, this position breaks the mold of the stereotypical kitchen job. POSITION SUMMARY:

A Food Runner position is responsible for quickly and accurately delivering orders from the kitchen to the customers. Additionally, this person includes helping the waitstaff monitor and maintain a clean work environment during the dining experience. This person must have excellent communication skills, work well as a team, and multitask.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Sanitize tables Expedite carryout and catering orders Remove dirty dishes from tables Polish silverware Keep the expo line clean and organize Sweep and keep floors clean Delivering food to our guests Empties trash cans Accommodate servers with helping at their request Maintains bussing stations

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to meet all scheduling and availability requirements. Ability to understand English sufficiently to receive and perform essential job assignments and instructions. Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Understanding of food safety practices and hygiene Knowledge of POS systems ServSafe Food Handler certification DLC Certification

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Ability to stand for long periods. Ability to lift and carry trays, plates, and bus bins up to 35lbs Ability to speak concisely and effectively communicate in person and over the phone. Nights, weekends, and holidays as needed - we are currently open for operation 12 pm - 9 pm Wednesdays - Sundays.
