Winnebago Mental Health Institute (WMHI) is recruiting a Food Retail Catering Lead. This position will work from 6:00am to 2:30pm. WMHI is a part of the Department of Health Services (DHS), Division of Care and Treatment Services (DCTS) and is a psychiatric hospital providing quality mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults.

Position Summary

As the Food Retail Catering Lead, you will serve as a lead worker and function independently while providing quality service. Responsibilities include:

Ordering, receiving, preparing, and selling merchandise and food to staff and patients at WMHI and Wisconsin Resource Center (WRC). Training co-workers and patient workers. Ensuring equipment is in safe and working condition and meets all sanitation and certification guidelines for the Canteen.

The starting pay is $20.55 per hour, plus excellent benefits. A 12-month probationary period is required.


Pay for current or former state employees will be set based on the rules that apply to compensation for the applicable transaction. The pay schedule and range for this position is 03/11.


Job Details

All applicants who may be appointed to this position will be required to allow DHS to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled.


All appointees will be required to receive a TB test, which will be administered by the facility or medical personnel directed by the facility prior to their start date.


This position requires standing, walking, crouching, kneeling, lifting (maximum of 50 lbs.), pushing and pulling.


DHS does not sponsor work visas for this position, thus, in compliance with federal law, selected candidates will be required to verify eligibility to work in the United States by completing the required I-9 form upon hire. DHS is not an E-Verify employer nor a STEM-OPT eligible employer.


Qualifications


------------------




Minimally qualified applicants will have both of the following:

Experience working in a food service setting ordering, receiving or cooking food. Experience sanitizing and ensuring that proper sanitation standards have been followed. Experience as a lead worker (e.g., training, providing guidance, directing, etc.).

Well-qualified applicants will also have at least one of the following:

Experience with Point-of-Sale system. ServSafe Certification.
