Overview



We are seeking an experienced and motivated

Food Program Manager

to lead the development and launch of an in-house pizza program. This position will oversee all phases of establishing and operating the program, from initial planning and kitchen buildout through menu execution and ongoing management. The ideal candidate is highly organized, experienced in culinary operations, and comfortable managing both startup logistics and weekly kitchen performance in a fast-paced craft brewery environment.

Key Responsibilities



Program Development



Lead all aspects of developing a new pizza program within the brewery, including equipment selection. Coordinate with ownership, and regulatory agencies to ensure full compliance with health, safety, and permitting requirements.

Operational Management



Establish daily kitchen operations, including prep procedures, service flow, and cleaning protocols. Manage food inventory, cost control, vendor relationships.. Implement food safety and sanitation standards in accordance with regulations.

Team Leadership



Potential to recruit, hire, train, and supervise kitchen staff. Foster a professional, collaborative workplace culture. Schedule staff and oversee labor cost efficiency.

Culinary Development



Develop a focused pizza menu designed to complement the brewery's beverage offerings. Source high-quality ingredients, prioritizing local and regional suppliers where possible.

Requirements



Valid

Food Safety or Food Handler Certification

(ServSafe or equivalent). Minimum of

3 years of experience

in a professional kitchen environment, with at least

1-2 years in a management or supervisory role

. Demonstrated ability to oversee kitchen setup, menu development, and vendor relations. Strong organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail and ability to work independently. Familiarity with small kitchen operations, startup environments, and craft beer culture preferred.

Compensation



Salary Range:

$55,000-$70,000 annually, depending on experience and scope of responsibility. For part-time or project-based roles during initial buildout, an hourly rate of

$25-$30/hour

may be appropriate. Benefits and performance incentives may be considered as the food program expands.
